Rain holds up Hick bid for record
GRAEME Hick will have to wait a while longer to break Graham Gooch's competitive games record.
Worcestershire Royals' 42-year-old batsman was set to play his 1,195th match today at Glamorgan Dragons, equalling the former England skipper's record.
However, heavy rain in the afternoon at the Swalec Stadium meant that no play was possible in the Twenty20 Cup clash.
Hick, weather permitting, will now have to wait until Tuesday to equal Gooch's milestone in front of a sold-out New Road against Warwickshire Bears.

"I'm sure Graeme ticks these records off. He has so many I have lost count of them all and one by one they are all going to him," Royals' director of cricket Steve Rhodes said.
Simon Jones was also denied a home-coming in Cardiff.
The Welshman, who had missed the opening two games of the competition due to a virus, was set to play his first game at Sophia Gardens since his move to New Road in the winter.
But a heavy shower just before the umpires were to make their 4.30pm inspection put paid to any play.
"It is always disappointing because, even with a shortened game, we faniced our chances," said Rhodes.
"If it goes down to a five, six or seven over game then their spinners are not as effective as they would normally be. But what can you do about the elements?
"There were some areas of the ground which had pooled a little, but the wicket ends were the main problem.
"They took the covers off earlier and got caught out with the heavy shower which meant the wicket ends were very muddy."
